We are delighted to share that Alberto Trujillo has expressed interest in playing the main character in our short film “The Only Zombie in the World”, currently in development.
“The only zombie in the world” is far from what its title might superficially evoke. This is a short film that addresses concerns specific to Western society, since the advent of modern science and the recognition, with it, of our eventual absolute death and the physical and mental deterioration that precedes it if we become old: losing our loved ones and losing oneself.
Alberto is no stranger to playing roles of bodies in decay, as in the 2012 film Halley, and on this occasion he is willing to go through the odyssey that prosthetics entail to give life, never better said, to a living dead who somehow through that condition manages to connect with his most lucid side. Through an abstract and beautiful narrative, the protagonist remembers the most notable moments of his existence. This is a project that was born from a deep interest in our humanity and with the desire to use elements of entertainment to deepen and promote reflection.
